I can't wait to help you find a home in Rutherford!
Situated on the ridge above the Meadowlands, modern Rutherford began to take shape from farmland to a a vacation spot in the 1840s when the Erie Railroad line from Hoboken to Paterson was opened. As New York City tourists spent time in the spacious green land and transportation became easier, farms started to recede and a suburban neighborhood was born. With a population of just under 20,000 residents, Rutherford, with its tree-lined streets and small parks maintains a small town feel in a bustling NYC metro area.
